Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
- Account and community data (via Circle): name, email, profile, posts, comments, DMs to the head Sensei, course progress, and belt/grade records.
- Payment data (via Stripe): your card is processed by Stripe; we see subscription status, amounts, and payment events — never card numbers.
- Learning submissions: your Ships, Belt Tests, and questions to the AI senpai, plus the grades and feedback they receive.
- Operational email data (via Resend/Make): delivery and engagement of the onboarding and community emails we send you.
- We do not run advertising trackers on skilldojo.online.
2. How we use it
To run the dojo: charge and reconcile membership, grant and verify space access, grade submissions and answer questions (including by AI, §3), send onboarding and community email, keep the community safe (§8 of the Terms), and improve the curriculum. We do not sell personal data.
3. AI processing (the disclosure that matters)
Your submissions and AI-senpai questions are sent to Anthropic's API to be graded and answered. Grade records store which rubric version and model produced them and a hash of the inputs (provenance). Treat submissions as work products: do not include passwords, API keys, or sensitive personal information in them. Grading decisions are applied by our code against a fixed rubric; borderline results are reviewed by a human.

Each processes data under its own terms; we share only what each needs.
5. Retention
Community content and grade records are kept while your account exists — grade provenance is part of the belt system's integrity. If you delete your account (or ask us to), we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except payment records we must retain for tax/accounting law and minimal records needed to enforce past bans or resolve disputes.
6. Your rights
Email emailbigtech@gmail.com to access, correct, export, or delete your data, or to object to a use of it. We answer within 30 days. EU/UK members may also have rights under GDPR/UK-GDPR, including complaint to a supervisory authority.
7. Security
Access to member data is limited to the operator and the systems above; secrets are managed outside the codebase; the grading pipeline treats member submissions as untrusted data by design. No system is perfectly secure — report suspected issues to emailbigtech@gmail.com.
8. Children
SkillDojo is for adults building professional skills. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
Material changes are announced in the community and by email 14 days before they take effect, with the effective date updated above.
